Powerball Jackpot Soars to $150 Million After Another Draw Without a Winner

An Aussie could claim a record-breaking lotto win next week, with a massive $150 million Powerball prize now up for grabs after another draw without a division one winner. This eye-watering jackpot is the largest since February and the third biggest lottery prize in Australian history. The cash remains unclaimed despite millions vying for the chance to win in this week's draw.

At 6:44 pm, there were 7,980 entries purchased in just one minute, according to lottery officials. The winning numbers in tonight's Powerball jackpot were 13, 9, 1, 18, 12, 2, and 14, with a Powerball of 3.

A single division one winner next week would be the biggest individual lotto prize winner in Australian history, according to The Lott. "It's undeniable that the prospect of winning a share of the $150 million division one prize will captivate the attention of countless Aussies in the coming days as excitement continues to build," said The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell.

"We expect a surge in lottery outlets and online as we approach Thursday night's multimillion-dollar draw, with up to half of Australian adults expected to have an entry," a spokesperson added. "We've only seen Powerball offer $150 million on two previous occasions. In 2019, three division one winning entries shared the prize, while earlier this year, the jackpot wasn't won and the prize climbed higher."

While no entries scored the division one prize in tonight's $100 million Powerball draw, 3,197,881 prizes worth more than $64.37 million were won in divisions two to nine. There were 10 division two winners, each taking home a prize of $179,059.50.

Australia's biggest lottery winner was an inner Sydney nurse who scored more than $107 million in 2019, according to The Lott.

"She initially thought she'd only won $107,000 and was flabbergasted to discover her real prize was 1000 times more," Hobdell said. "And during the past 12 months, we've seen three people each score $100 million. "First was a Bankstown dad who won in June last year with a six-game QuickPick, and then a Hawthorne woman and Singleton couple shared February's $200 million jackpot."
